ASO DECORATORS SHOW HOUSE 2015

ASO DECORATORS SHOW HOUSE 2015

I am happy to report that my soiree went off without a hitch.

Even the weather held out which made me  pretty darn happy  because I spent all of Friday power washing every stinking piece of furniture.

My arms were so tired.

Since all I had to do was provide the venue I was not in charge of anything else.  But.....my sister ordered these little bundt cakes.  OMG.....

Little single servings of crack.  Crikey I ate one rite out of the box not even worried about whether we had enough:)

Today I have more pictures of the ASO Decorator Show House.  If you have not been there is still time!  It is open until May 10th.

Starting with one of my favorite designers Bob Brown....
I was all over this neutral room....right!

Um....this bed.

Right off the MBR was Danielle Rollins and Bill Ingram who designed the bath.

Cutest business cards ever....

It was a gorgeous room full of toile against some great wallpaper.

Living room designed by Michael Boyd.

It was so good but I had a hard time getting some decent photographs.

The dining room which was done by Randy and Dan of Boxwoods.

My good friend Vern Yip [ha ha] designed the family room and dining area.

Right off this area was the kitchen by Robin LaMonte.  I think it is important to say that she could only upgrade with paint.  I love the taupe color she picked out....it works well with the existing granite countertops.

Upstairs Patricia McLean gave us a beautiful traditional southern room.
Love this Thibaut wallpaper on the ceiling...

Then we come to Melanie Turners room....which I loved.  She kept the toile paper that was on the walls....

The green velvet window treatments were slap gorgeous!

Say hello to this fabulous room by Parker Kennedy.

The Fromental wall covering was spectacular!

I left out many rooms that I just could not get good shots of....so you will just have to go.

Alrighty....girl has stuff to do.  Im down in Florida trying to whip this place in shape before the rental season.

2015 ASO DECORATOR SHOW HOUSE

2015 ASO DECORATOR SHOW HOUSE

Its my favorite time of year!  Yep...the Atlanta Decorator Show House opens April 18th and I couldnt be more excited.

I have never missed one since I moved here in 1989.

Im sure all the designers are probably knee deep in it about now trying to juggle their own design work plus meet the show house deadline!

I kind of know what they are going through having my own private hell with a darn deadline.  I will update you later this week on how that is going.

Chateau Soleil is a french style estate designed by architect William T. Baker.  It was built in 1998, has 14,000 square feet with 6 bedrooms, 7 baths and 4 1/2 powder baths.

I looked over the list of designers participating this year and thought I would highlight a few.

First up is Jessica Bradley.  I wasnt familiar with her work so I visited her portfolio.

Beautiful.

Her traditional style is clean and polished.  I love this pretty bedroom.

Jessica is doing the laundry room and pantry.

Next up is Bob Brown.  Yes I have written about him before but I love his slightly masculine, sophisticated style so much.

Bob is a great stylist......and I love how he mixes traditional and modern so seamlessly.

Ive noticed he uses a lot of wood tone in his designs and even though the rooms are well edited Bob creates warmth using his talent of layering different textures.

The rug.

I constantly see this room on Pinterest!

Bob is designing the master bedroom and "his" bath.

Beth Kooby is another designer whos work is new to me.  She has a great eclectic approach to design.

Check out this cute bath!

Love the floors in this one.

I am looking forward to seeing how Beth transforms 2 powder rooms.

Anyone coming in to town for this?  The dates are April 18-May 10th.  For a list of all the designers and portfolios go here

My own finish line is 17 days away.....which is causing me  slight anxiety.  People....its just me.  I dont have a "team".....so Sherika has to pull this off:)
