ASO DECORATORS SHOW HOUSE 2015

ASO DECORATORS SHOW HOUSE 2015

I am happy to report that my soiree went off without a hitch.

Even the weather held out which made me  pretty darn happy  because I spent all of Friday power washing every stinking piece of furniture.

My arms were so tired.

Since all I had to do was provide the venue I was not in charge of anything else.  But.....my sister ordered these little bundt cakes.  OMG.....

Little single servings of crack.  Crikey I ate one rite out of the box not even worried about whether we had enough:)

Today I have more pictures of the ASO Decorator Show House.  If you have not been there is still time!  It is open until May 10th.

Starting with one of my favorite designers Bob Brown....
I was all over this neutral room....right!

Um....this bed.

Right off the MBR was Danielle Rollins and Bill Ingram who designed the bath.

Cutest business cards ever....

It was a gorgeous room full of toile against some great wallpaper.

Living room designed by Michael Boyd.

It was so good but I had a hard time getting some decent photographs.

The dining room which was done by Randy and Dan of Boxwoods.

My good friend Vern Yip [ha ha] designed the family room and dining area.

Right off this area was the kitchen by Robin LaMonte.  I think it is important to say that she could only upgrade with paint.  I love the taupe color she picked out....it works well with the existing granite countertops.

Upstairs Patricia McLean gave us a beautiful traditional southern room.
Love this Thibaut wallpaper on the ceiling...

Then we come to Melanie Turners room....which I loved.  She kept the toile paper that was on the walls....

The green velvet window treatments were slap gorgeous!

Say hello to this fabulous room by Parker Kennedy.

The Fromental wall covering was spectacular!

I left out many rooms that I just could not get good shots of....so you will just have to go.

Alrighty....girl has stuff to do.  Im down in Florida trying to whip this place in shape before the rental season.

ATLANTA HOLIDAY HOME 2015

ATLANTA HOLIDAY HOME 2015

If you have been reading my blog for any length of time then you know I love a good showhouse!

The other day I visited the Atlanta Holiday Home and was "wowed" at every corner.

These 20 designers managed to kick some "design butt" and I was impressed!

Chris Holt, John Oetgen, Barbara Westbrook, Bob Brown, Lindsay Coral Harper, Carol Weaks, Jessica Bradley, Heather Hogan Roberts, Kerry Howard, Barbara Marshall Howard, Mallory Mathison Glen, Tish Mills, Melanie Millner, Judith Bentley, Karen Hayes Ferguson, James Wheeler, Joel Kelly, Dan Belman, Steve Mckenzie.

This years 15,000 square ft home, Millwood Manor, is incredibly beautiful resembling Scotlands Stonefield Castle.  Built by Sheehan and designed by architect Harrison Designs.

Everybody brought their A game.

The Dining Room....

Music Room

These curtains are everything.
Hallway

Crushing on these Circa Lighting fixtures...... so pretty in the hallway and the kitchen below.  Of course just to rub it in....more iron windows.

Even though the cabinets are black, there is plenty of light with that large metal window and the  antique mirror!

Nice dining area off the kitchen.....a great space to hang out!  Gah.

Right into the family room that had some gorgeous color.....

Beautiful teal grasscloth on the walls.

Headed on to a covered porch...

Back hall

I love this flat roman shade with the pom poms....what about you?

So many traditional colors and features in this home.....and I think its here for a while.  Just saying.

More on Friday.

Geez...this time of year drives me crazy.  Deadlines....parties....did I mention deadlines?

I dont even have a wreath on my door yet.  Such a slacker.

ATLANTA HOLIDAY HOME 2015 PART 2

ATLANTA HOLIDAY HOME 2015 PART 2

I had a bit of a scare the other morning with Cami.  I was sitting on the couch and there was a small plate on the coffee table which my english muffin was on [eaten already] along with a vitamin and another pill.  She came up and before I could blink licked the plate scooping up the meds.

Holy crap I jumped up like I had springs on my feet and ripped open her mouth trying to shake them out......sticking my finger down her throat.  I was sweating yall.

I didnt see anything fall out so I ran into the bathroom to get the hydrogen peroxide, screaming at my husband to "hold her mouth open" and started pouring it down her throat.  I told my husband "stand back she is gonna throw up".....and nothing.

I threw myself on the bed crying in total frustration for about 2 minutes screaming "OMG we have to go to the vet NOW!"  Meanwhile my husband is standing there watching this whole production still trying to figure out what was going on.

I jumped out of the bed ran back to the den thinking maybe I imagined it and they were still on the plate or maybe they fell into the rug.  I looked down about 2 feet from where the incident happened and there they were.  WHAT!  I was jumping up and down like a 6 year old on Christmas morning.

I gotta tell ya that 5 minutes took a few years off my life.

I have the rest of the showhouse pictures.....see part one here.

This room was by my good friend Steve Mckenzie.  Loving that LaGrange chest.

How clever is this bed situation by Melanie Millner?

I die over this Phillip Jefferies wallpaper.

Chris Holt Interiors

Pretty spectacular spaces designed by Mallory Mathieson Glenn

Loved this room which was all dark and moody by Karen Ferguson.  I fell especially hard for this art by Brian Coleman.

Barbara Marshall Howard was showcasing the new fabrics by Studio B [designed by Brian Carter] for Jim Thompson.

This beautiful master bedroom by Carole Weaks.

And.....thats a wrap.  This is the last weekend to see all of this great design!

Its Friday and yall we been having some very warm weather....this weekend they are predicting temps in the 70s!

Still no wreath.
