its finished. im done. literally just stitched the last 6 inches of binding down. this is HOT off the press. it looks great. im thrilled with it but at the same time ive looked at it too much...
interesting (or not so interesting) things i learned making this quilt include:
1) im now a total convert to the colour peach, ive decided itm my new neutral
2) theres a funky smelling fabric in this quilt, the perfect shade of bright pink, but mum thinks im imagining it (the smell, not the fabric, that really does it exist. you can see it)
3) curves are fun! at least the way i do it which would probably have the quilt police in a pure panic
4) trying to stitch a single piece of fabric to a strip with a gazillion seams is a total bitch
5) there are surprising colour combos in this that should not work but totally do and they generally involve another of my least liked colours, olive/khaki green
6) i really dislike the colour brown and could not bring myself to use it in this quilt (ok, thats not strictly something i learned making this quilt, but i feel strongly about it)
