come in number 261 your time is up
just popping in to announce that the winner of my giveaway was michala, number 261, yay, and how cool does her island living sound? she lives next door to thomas the tank engine, people!
she said:
"Im from Walney Island which is just off the coast of Barrow-in-Furness , which is unfortunate. Walney is lovely though. Its 11 miles long and a mile wide, although a lot of either end is nature reserve. Its home to the Natterjack Toad. We also have an aerodrome where you can go gliding, and host the national kite surfing championships each year. It is the windiest lowland site in the country after all fact fans! Oh and the best bit, is that Thomas The Tank Engine was based on our island, though the Vicar who wrote it renamed it Sodor. He was Reverand Aubrey and he was our local vicar at St. Marys church, but that was way before my time. I hope this helps me win!"
i want to thank each and every one of you for bothering to leave a message with such lovely descriptions of your home towns, i had a ball reading every single one. i am amazed at the amount of people who had friends or relatives serving at mildenhall or lakenheath US bases or had visited the area, and someone in the states even recognised the village pub! it just goes to show its a small world :)
i hope you all enjoyed the moda blog hop and if you want to see instructions on how to piece together your free blocks, please keep your eye on the moda blog.
